Identifying the absence of an educational facility for children with special needs in Warri, Nigerwives Nigeria Warri Branch conceived plans for Centre Acchieve. ‘Acchieve’=acronym for: Action for Children; with Coordination; Hearing; Intellectual; Expressive; Visual and Educational disabilities. With help from charitable individuals, one building was completed and equipped. Presently, 25 children with various challenges: autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities etc. are receiving basic education, speech-, play-, physio therapy, older ones vocational training. 4 special education teachers administer individual programs for each child, assisted by 1 classroom-assistant and 2 nannies and filled to its capacity. The remaining buildings, will cost N30 million to complete. This will provide space for 30 more children, designated therapy rooms, and a conference hall will be used from SW funds
