Our event was planned for Sunday, 15th March 2020 but had to be postponed because of Covid-19. We booked a new date for the 28th of March, but unfortunately, that was also not possible, as Covid-19 now became a pandemic and we had to cancel the event. All our preparations had been done, including the printing of the programme and tickets and the children were ready to perform. They were very disappointed that the show had been cancelled, but we had to follow the guidelines. Apart from that, health and lives are more important than performances and we could not risk the health of our children, their families and the audience.

We informed our sponsors and donors and are so grateful for their understanding. Some of them allowed keeping the money for the next event, while some of them preferred to have their donations back because of the economic situation, which is very understandable and we are very grateful for their continued support.

The items they donated were distributed to needy charities, who were very happy to receive the goods.

For your information, below is a list of the charities we have supported over the past 10 years. They are:

Unfortunately, we were not able to support any charity financially this year as we had an event and as such no sale of tickets, but we hope that we are planning to have an event in 2022, when we are will be staging a grand come back, all being equal.

To contribute our pebble to the people during the Covid-19 lockdown, we donated the sum of N250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand Naira) to Orile Food Aid, an organization which arranged food distribution during the lockdown in Mushin, Alimosho, Badagry and of course, Orile. They made 523 bank transfers of N5,000 to needy families.

We thank all our donors, sponsors, supporters and volunteers for standing by us all these years, in this difficult year and in the years ahead.

This is just an unforeseen break and we are preparing for a grand comeback.

The Small World and Smaller World Families.
